El pasado sábado (10/4/21) disfrutamos de un evento diferente, con mucha ilusión compartimos dos horas con un club de pianistas similar al nuestro pero ¡de Londres! El IX Madrid PianoMeetups fue el primer evento internacional que hemos disfrutado.
Quizá lo más significativo es que al haber un total de 16 pianistas fue un evento con el tiempo justo, y eso que duró unos minutos por encima de las 2 horas, con una única pieza por intérprete.
Personalmente no puedo estar más contento y orgulloso de mis compañeros de PianoMeetup: Hubo mucho compañerismo entre ambos grupos y muy buena comunicación, a pesar de hablar idiomas distintos.
La verdad es que, personalmente, tengo que destacar dos actuaciones del grupo inglés que, a mi, me dejaron con la boca abierta: Elizaveta tocó la Ballade #1 in G Minor de Chopin, que son 10 minutos loquísimos del más endiablado Chopin y el Impromptu p42 de Schubert con una ejecución excelente.
La sensación personal y, por lo que comentamos posteriormente, fue que, de alguna forma, ha sido de los eventos en los que los nervios mas nos han traicionado. A este respecto, y aunque siempre me gusta destacar el buen hacer de todos, en este evento me voy a referir únicamente a tres de nuestros compañeros por el valor que tuvieron: Jose Luís por abrir el evento, a Manolo por ir después de Elizaveta y a Carlos por ir detrás de Vedran.
Por último, mi agradecimiento personal a Alon por ser el artífice del evento.
Last Saturday (10/4/21) we enjoyed a different event, we excitedly shared two hours with a pianist’s club similar to ours but from London! The IX Madrid PianoMeetups was the first international event we have enjoyed.
Maybe the most significant thing is that, with a total of 16 pianists, was an event with just the right time, and that lasted a few minutes above 2 hours, with only one piece per performer.
Personally, I can’t be happier and prouder of my PianoMeetup colleagues: There was a lot of fellowship between the two groups and very good communication, despite speaking different languages.
The truth is that, IMHO, I have to highlight two performances by the English group that, to me, were left with my mouth open: Elizaveta played Chopin’s Ballade #1 in G Minor, which is 10 minutes from the devilish Chopin and Schubert’s Impromptu p42 with an excellent execution.
The personal feeling and, from what we discussed later, was that, in some way, it was one of the events in which the nerves have betrayed us the most. In this regard, and although I always like to highlight the good work of all, in this event I will refer only to three of our colleagues for the value they had: Jose Luís for opening the event, Manolo for going after Elizaveta and Carlos for going after Vedran.
Last but not least, my personal thanks to Alon for being the architect of the event.
